Dr. Robert V. Gouthro, founder of Weston Psychiatric, has always prioritized community and individual mental wellness. With extensive experience spanning outpatient clinics, psychiatric emergency rooms, correctional facilities, Veterans Affairs, and AODA treatment centers in Milwaukee, Green Bay, and central Wisconsin, Dr. Gouthro's dedication to healing is unwavering. He actively engages with national and regional committees to advocate for mental health accessibility and collaborates with local entities to bridge care gaps. A testament to his commitment is the NEW Psychiatric Care Clinic—a free clinic for the underserved in northeastern Wisconsin—which he played a pivotal role in establishing. Beyond patient care, Dr. Gouthro is deeply involved in educating the next wave of psychiatrists as the Program Director for the Wisconsin North Central GME Consortium and the Medical College of Wisconsin Psychiatry Program. With the inception of Weston Psychiatric, Dr. Gouthro envisions a facility that resonates with his mission: to serve the pressing mental health needs of the community.
Trisha Stefonek, a clinician with over 20 years of experience, brings a compassionate and skillful touch to the Weston Psychiatric Care Team. Trisha obtained her Master’s degree at Northwestern University, is a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, and is currently completing her doctoral internship for her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology. With a profound understanding of patient needs based on her dynamic background, Trisha's expertise includes treatment specialties in youth, relationships/couples, and adult trauma. Her adept clinical judgment and empathetic approach enable accurate diagnoses and personalized treatment plans. Trisha demonstrates a strong commitment to empowering patients on their journey to well-being.
Tina Marie Baeten has worked in the field of addictions and mental health for over 30 years. She has a Masters Degree in Social Work from UW-Milwaukee, is a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor and a Clinical Supervisor. She brings experience in developing and implementing mental health and substance abuse treatment services and programs and for fun provides instruction and consultation to graduate counseling students, treatment programs and clinicians throughout Wisconsin. She has a wide range of experiences working as a consultant, educator, treatment provider, client rights specialist, clinical supervisor, and program manager. She has worked with a variety of populations including adolescents, LGBTQIA+, survivors of trauma, individuals in corrections, under-served populations, First Nations populations, and other racially, culturally, and gender diverse groups. Settings in which she has worked include private, non-profit, academic, public/county, tribal-governed programs, inpatient, residential and outpatient SUD programs. She has served in administration of co-occurring disorders programming since 2004 and has provided consultation/clinical supervision to various programs in county programs throughout Wisconsin. As a provider, she provides therapy as a non-judgmental guide providing practical tools to increase already existing strengths and helps clear the path to patient goal achievement. Tina Marie is implementing, providing, and growing services as the Director of Clinical Services at Weston Psychiatric in both Weston and Green Bay locations.
Valorie brings years of counseling expertise to Weston Psychiatric Clinic. She has worked in a variety of settings and brings a sense of dedication to serving clients in their growth and well-being. Valorie’s empathic nature and strong clinical knowledge base brings comfort and direction to clients seeking the support of counseling. Valorie’s areas of expertise include working with couples and families. She has established clinical skills in addressing relationship issues. Valorie has experience working with individuals, couples and families in all stages of their lives. Her passion and clinical training is working with couples as they navigate their relationships. Valorie has also worked with families and couples that have experienced the effects of all forms of domestic violence. With strong clinical judgment and personal sensitivity, Valorie directs treatment with accuracy in diagnostic criteria and the need to establish a sense of empowerment for each client situation. Together a personalized treatment plan is drafted and interventions are utilized to create a positive sense of growth.
Maria earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Aurora in Illinois. With over 20 years of experience in the field of social work, she has dedicated her career to helping individuals navigate a wide range of mental health challenges. Maria has specialized training in Substance Abuse Treatment, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Informed Care. She provides compassionate, evidence-based therapy to individuals and groups, tailoring her approach to meet each client’s unique needs. In addition to her clinical work, Maria offers critical incident response services to help organizations and employees process grief and loss in the workplace. She emphasizes a holistic approach to counseling, encouraging wellness and self-care as essential components of achieving a healthy work-life balance. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Maria is committed to bridging gaps in her community and advocating for greater understanding and acceptance of mental health issues. She is passionate about reducing the stigma surrounding behavioral health and educating others about its importance. Maria’s dedication to fostering connection and resilience has made her a trusted resource for individuals and organizations alike.
Lisa is a registered nurse with over 20 years of nursing experience and a demonstrated commitment to patient care and recovery. In her nursing career, Lisa worked with people of all ages dealing with cognitive and physical limitations, as well as with adults experiencing substance use disorders, and worked in the criminal justice system promoting recovery. Lisa is now expanding her expertise in mental health as a Master’s level therapist in-training here at Weston Psychiatric. As she realized her passion for mental health and her commitment to patient growth and well-being, Lisa decided to pursue a Master in Social Work degree through UW-Green Bay and is now utilizing her demonstrated clinical skills and exceptional aptitude for interpersonal connection with her patients in this role. Her combined organizational aptitude and empathetic nature create a welcoming environment for both staff and patients.
Dr. David R. Winemiller brings over 30 years of expertise as a licensed psychologist in Wisconsin, offering individualized psychological therapy and testing services. He specializes in psychological and neurocognitive assessments, including evaluations for neurodivergent individuals with ADHD and Autism spectrum conditions. His practice also focuses on mood disorders, life stressors, health psychology, and functional capacity evaluations.
Dr. Winemiller holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Technology, with advanced training in Behavioral Medicine and Health Psychology. With a commitment to evidence-based, trauma-informed, and humanistic care, Dr. Winemiller is well-known for his strategic focus, inclusive approach, and engaging interpersonal style.

Kim Van Ermen, as the Director of Operations, provides a unique blend of clinical acumen and administrative skills to Weston Psychiatric. With extensive experience in physician recruitment, clinical operations, and psychiatric education support from her time working with the Medical College of Wisconsin, Kim cultivates a well-ordered and supportive patient-centered environment. Her commitment to quality ensures that every aspect of the clinic fully integrates medical expertise with operational excellence, echoing the clinic's foundational commitment to community and individual wellness.
